Thanks to support from Jockey Being Family™, the Adoption Council of Canada (ACC) and the Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa are able to bring the first Heart Gallery to Canada. Our pilot project begins in Ottawa and the hope is to expand across the province and country in the coming years.
The Heart Gallery is a traveling photographic exhibit created to attract potential parents who will commit to adopting children and youth waiting in foster care. The Heart Gallery’s mission is to use the power of photography to capture the individuality and dignity of waiting children, to raise public awareness about their needs, to obtain support to meet those needs, and to find permanent homes for them.
We are excited to bring this project into Canada and we thank the Heart Gallery of America for their ongoing assistance in this endeavor.
Together, we have the potential to find permanency for thousands of Canadian children and youth who wait for a forever family.
