The Canada Heart Gallery wishes to thank the following sponsors who have generously contributed to the development and maintenance of this important project:

Jockey Being Family
Launched in 2005, Jockey Being Family is Jockey’s corporate citizenship initiative dedicated to strengthening adoptive families for successful futures. The program naturally reflects Jockey’s values as a family-owned company and its dedication to outfitting individuals with the comfort and support they need to live their best lives. Recognizing the unmet need, Jockey Being Family supports adoptive families in Canada and the U.S. by providing them with access to post-adoption services. Jockey believes that by strengthening adoptive families, we can help ensure permanence for children and the strength of families in our communities. To learn more, visit

The Adoption Council of Canada
The Adoption Council of Canada (ACC) is the umbrella organization for adoption in Canada. Based in Ottawa, the ACC raises public awareness of adoption, promotes placement of waiting children and stresses the importance of post-adoption services.

Canada’s Waiting Children
The Canada’s Waiting Children (CWC) program is intended to be an additional resource to prospective adoptive parents who are going through the adoption process with an agency in their area. This website contains photos and background information about Canadian children waiting for permanent adoptive families. It also provides information about domestic adoption in Canada of children in the care of provincial, territorial, and First Nations child welfare agencies. The CWC program is a service of the ACC. The ACC is not an adoption agency but an information and referral service. This program was made possible by grants from the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption and support from Wendy’s Restaurants of Canada.

The Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa
The Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa is committed to protecting the children and youth of our community from all forms or abuse and neglect. We work to keep them safe and secure, both within their families and the communities in which they live.

Family & Children’s Services of Guelph and Wellington County
Family and Children’s Services of Guelph and Wellington County (F&CS for short) is sometimes referred to as the local Children’s Aid. We provide help and support services for families to ensure that children are protected from physical and emotional abuse or neglect. F&CS is a charitable, non-profit agency that is legislated and primarily funded by the provincial Ministry of Children and Youth Services. F&CS cares about the well-being and safety of children and wants to help families provide caring and safe environments for their children.

Now, in its eighth year, The Heart Gallery model is being replicated in many communities across the country.

McCann & Cambrian E-Media Services
Web design and hosting is an industry that employs much in the way of today’s technology, but the demands and applications which drive this industry are deeply rooted in a commercial field ranging from marketing, commerce, business administration, consumer support and all forms of media. It’s within these areas that the owners and operators of McCann & Cambrian E-Media Services bring to the firm and its clientele the benefit of such experience. Developing new systems and services is our ongoing objective. We are also striving to reach further boundaries in Canada and the United States marketing McCann & Cambrian on line and through other forms of media. Attracting team players through our VIP and Partner Programs will serve to build a strong, resourceful company.

Office of the Provincial Advocate for Children & Youth
The Office of the Provincial Advocate reports directly to the Legislature and provides an independent voice for children and youth, including children with special needs and First Nations children. The advocates receive and respond to concerns from children, youth and families who are seeking or receiving services under the Child and Family Services Act and the Education Act (Provincial and Demonstration Schools).

The Studio at Grayrock
The Studio at Grayrock is proud to offer our Managed Marketing Services to The Canada Heart Gallery. Our full-service solutions provide comprehensive marketing campaigns complete from concept to creation and from implementation to reporting. We’re small, intelligent with good ideas and tons of experience.

Tripp Photography & Associates
Christine Tripp, from Tripp Photography, is the Heart Gallery of Canada’s first official photographer. The Ottawa gallery of children and youth were all photographed by Tripp Photography. The children and youth were asked to choose the clothes that they wanted to wear, and to bring a prop that truly represents their personality. Christine was able to make them laugh and play around while capturing their true innocence. Christine has played a large and important role in making the first Heart Gallery in Canada a true success. The Adoption Council of Canada and the Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa are grateful to Christine for her passion and commitment to the project.

Dean Palmer Photography
Carefully nuanced portraits, witty and intelligent editorial work, imaginative product photography, breath-taking fine art images, evocative landscapes – Dean Palmer’s photos are easily worth a thousand words. His portraits, which have been compared to the work of legendary photographers Walker Evans and August Sander, have a graphic, theatrical quality and owe much to his lifelong fascination with classic cinema. His warm colour portraits and subtly textured still photographs are equally impressive.  Dean generously donates his time and energy as the official Heart Gallery photographer for Guelph and Wellington County.  The Adoption Council of Canada and Family & Children’s Services of Guelph and Wellington County are grateful to Dean for his passion and commitment to the project:
